Moor Hall Drive, Sutton Coldfield
1930s Streather House Transformation on Moor Hall Drive
We were engaged by the owners to upgrade and extend this charming 1930s Streather house on Moor Hall Drive. Our goal was to find an in-keeping solution that would enhance the property while preserving its original character.
Project Highlights:
– First Floor Extensions: We added symmetrical extensions to both sides of the building, enhancing its curb appeal and providing a balanced, harmonious facade.
– Rear Expansion: The rear of the house was expanded to create more living space, including an open-plan kitchen and sofa area. This new space opens onto a porcelain tiled terrace, leading to a beautiful south-facing garden.
– Internal Upgrades: The house received comprehensive upgrades, including new internal fixtures and finishes, Residence 7 windows, and a modern heating system with underfloor heating powered by an air source heat pump.
– Enhanced Entrance: The front of the property was re-landscaped and features bespoke gates, adding a touch of elegance and improving security.
This project successfully combines modern functionality with the timeless appeal of a 1930s home, creating a more spacious, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing living environment.
