Sleek Glazed Extension for Arts & Crafts Home in Sutton Coldfield

This project involved transforming an Arts & Crafts house on Moor Hall Drive, Sutton Coldfield, by replacing an outdated conservatory with a sleek, modern glazed extension. Our goal was to enhance the connection between the home and its garden, creating a seamless blend of indoor and outdoor living that suits the lifestyle of our clients.

To achieve this, we designed an elegant extension using black powder-coated cladding, complemented by striking gable glazing and slim-framed sliding doors. These design elements allow natural light to flood the new space, creating a bright, warm, and inviting atmosphere. The new extension’s aesthetic blend effortlessly with the traditional character of the existing house.

As part of the project, we opened up the interior of the original home to connect with the new extension, ensuring a smooth flow between the spaces. We revitalised the existing patio and planting beds using York stone salvaged from the site, preserving the character of the garden while giving it a fresh, cohesive look.

The result is a beautiful, light-filled addition that enhances both the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the home, providing our clients with a versatile space that meets the demands of modern living.
