Bennett Road, Streetly

We were asked to extend this family home and modernise. The client\’92s were interested in a contemporary look and one that would sit well within the context of the leafy garden.

The existing house had been extended previously and some aspects of this had not been done well so these needed to be remedied along with the new work.

We came up with the idea of a series of cedar clad boxes which would link the house to the garden and create a natural backdrop to the garden.

The existing first floor balcony was incorporated into the design and cedar wrapped around to give the feeling of an outdoor room.

A kitchen and family room and play space were created to the rear with bifold doors onto the outside terrace. Upstairs rooms were re-ordered to create a dressing room and ensuite to the master bedroom and another family bathroom.
